We had a great Christmas! The older the kids get, the more fun the Christmas season becomes. On Christmas Eve we had our traditional dinner with my parents and Aunt Sue. We mixed things up this year with Adam smoking our turkey and I roasted a ham. We added some home made mac and cheese to the menu and made a crockpot apple crisp for dessert and it was delicious! Once dinner was wrapped up and the house cleaned, the kids each got to open a set of Christmas pajamas. We set out some cookies and milk for Santa, wrote our letter and tucked the kids into bed so the Elves could come and do their work.

We carried on our "Elf on the Shelf" tradition this year, so Timmy joined us once again. I'd had a few friends message me with this Frozen idea, and I waited until Christmas morning to pull it out of my bag of tricks. Autumn screeched (literally) with delight when she saw it!
|Not ever girl asks for a gallon of popcorn butter, but I do. And it's amazing.|
|Brody was perfectly content with playing trains the rest of Christmas morning. He had little interest in opening anything else!|
Autumn's Christmas list was always changing, but the one thing that always remained on it was the Elsa Duet Doll. Autumn loves to belt out Let it Go, and now she has a fully functioning microphone with background music. She was so excited and so sweet, "It's just what I wanted!! Thank you Momma, I'm so happy!"
Brody's favorite activity besides trains are puzzles. He has a real talent for them, and I knew we needed more and harder puzzles to challenge him. Just about half his gifts were puzzles and trains. Okay, all his gifts.
After breakfast and opening presents at home, we headed over to a second Christmas at my parents with my sister and her family. Nana and Grandpa always out do themselves and I couldn't believe how many amazing things we all received. Everything is always so thoughtful and we need to make several trips out to the car to get it all back home!
